More than a dozen representatives from the City of McGregor, Clayton County Conservation, Clayton County Development, Clayton County Conservation Awareness Network (CCCAN) and others met to discuss the proposed expansion of the McGregor Trail system.
It appears that most if not all of the land needed to do this is available. Grant opportunities, such as REAP funds) and other funding sources will be explored.
Interested parties can meet in McGregor on Sunday morning, Nov. 19 at the intersection of Eagle and Center Streets at 9:30 a.m. to begin the process of marking potential trail routes. Contact Duane Boehlman at 563-873-3795 for additional information.
