The Clayton County Energy District will kick off its quarterly and around the county Energy Breakfast Series, on June 23rd at the Guttenberg Creativity Center. Anyone who would like to learn more about the LOCAL & CLEAN ENERGY is welcome to attend.
Featured Speaker: Andy Johnson, Winneshiek Energy District Founder & Executive Director
Topic: Successful Energy Districts 101- Andy is the founder and executive director of the the Winneshiek Energy District (WED). The WED, founded in 2010, is a successful grassroots non-profit organization dedicated to promoting stewardship and sustainability in Winneshiek County, Iowa. An Energy District is a locally-led organization that provides leadership for a clean renewable energy transition. This model has since spread to neighboring counties, including Clayton and Howard. Andy will discuss the measurable impact the WED has had toward a clean renewable energy transition.
